How can you become involved with India Night 2010?

Judges:
Want to help decide which acts will be in India Night 2010? This is a great opportunity to meet people and determine what acts make into your India Night!

Judge applications must be submitted to [dsouza3@illinois.edu] by 11 p.m. on Sunday, February 14th.

Show coordinators:
Interested in being involved in show production? Do you want to meet a lot of people and help run India Night? Show coordinators work with the show from start to finish helping choose which acts make it into the show, critiquing each act at every rehearsal and helping behind the scenes. Show coordinators also work with emcees on scripting and filming, run backstage during the actual show, and are essential to the show running smoothly.

The audition will consist of a variety of questions, interview style, to basically get to know you and your experience with putting together large scale events. You do not need to bring anything with you.

Interview Times: Thursday, February 18th from 7-10 p.m. in Greg Hall 111

Emcees:
Emcees help make the show run smoothly with performed skits interspersed throughout the show. This year, the audition will include a 30 second to 1 minute monologue. You may choose to prepare one on your own, or a short script will be provided by the cultural team. It does not have to be memorized! We're also going to ask you to act through 2-3 impromptu scenarios to test your ability to take direction in a comedic role.

Interview times: Thursday, February 18th from 7-10 p.m. in Greg Hall 111

The following are videos from past India Nights - this is just to give you ideas, we love creativity and do not follow a strict format from year to year:
